Victim of Psychology

This painting is a story of heartbreak. Without reading the context, people have interpreted it in different ways, since the figure at the bottom looks like the aggressor when in fact it is the victim. It is as though it were pleading, defeated by dependency.

Depression withers you, it makes you neglect yourself. The figure at the bottom was me with my emotional dependency; I could not believe it, and the pleading only clawed at my own self-esteem. Until, after seeing my inner self ruined, I decided to read a great deal, to learn how to remove that feeling, until I managed it after almost five years. Which is not normal, since the time to get through this stage tends to be six months to a year. But I got through it, and I learned a great deal in the process.
