The Search for the Soul

This is another work modified a great many times before reaching its final result, where I ended up emptying my mind of meanings that in this case were not necessary.

I believe that at some point people will understand my paintings with the soul, as the work of someone who wanted to touch people’s souls. The Spirit collection is not designed merely to decorate: it is designed to transcend painting itself. Introspective, empathetic art is the truth. As with my music, I do not set out to invent stories I have not lived or felt; I set out to give the weight they deserve to the most tender chapters of my existence — the sweetest, the most bitter, the most real.
